Disable random install app on Nox

Written by

this is how to fix / disable new apps popping up all the time:

————–I—————–

1 – enable root by going into Nox’s System Settings under “General” and put Enable under “Root startup”.

————–I—————–

2 – After rebooting check root by going to “Settings” – “Superuser”, if you have this menu you are good to go :)

————–I—————–

3 – Once root is enabled install a File explorer that can browse root directory, such as “ES File Explorer”, once installed enable “Root Explorer” in the left side menu. You might also need to enable View “System hidden files” at bottom of menu (for which I had to install an app to enable it, just uninstall it afterwards)

————–I—————–

4 – Go to Playstore and install a launcher, I’ve chosen “Evie”, it’s super fast, very clean (but once inside you need to search your apps and add them to your main screen by long clicking and dragging to main screen)

————–I—————–

5 – Then go into “Settings” – ” Home” and select “Evie” as launcher.

————–I—————–

6 – Now go into your File explorer to folder:

/system/apps

and delete “Nox_Launcher.apk” (or something similar)

————–I—————–

After that Evie will be your new launcher, my apps run much faster now and no more hassle from automatic App installations…

————–I—————–

You could use “Lucky Patcher” to make your new launcher “Evie” a system app (in this app select Evie and go into “Tools” – “Move to /system/app”

Pretty easy ;) you can of course opt for a different launcher, up to you!
